Description

City of Edmonton Modular Supportive Housing Project

The City of Edmonton Modular Supportive Housing project consisted of five independent supportive housing buildings. Each was built with a structural slab on grade and a main floor podium, two stair shafts, and two elevators constructed with structural reinforced concrete. All upper floors were predominantly built using Volumetric Modular Construction. Main floors were designed to accommodate supportive housing amenities, offices, and common area.

Edmontonians who live in supportive housing find safety, stability, and a community of healing where they can recover and grow. The completion of these modular builds will help get homeless people off the streets and have a safe place to live. Increasing the supply of supportive housing is a key priority of the City’s Affordable Housing Investment Plan (2019-2022) and the plan to end homelessness in Edmonton.

Westmount Supportive Housing Site

The main floor of the Westmount Supportive Housing building is 7500 square feet for supportive services and offices. The additional levels are comprised of 48 finished modulars, which make up 30 suites.
