Description
The Buddhist Mausoleum is a 3700ft² new-building construction at the Westlock Meditation Center located near Busby, AB. The eye-catching feature of the mausoleum is the 48 foot, 25tonne bronze statue of Buddha that is mounted on top of the structure. The statue was shipped thousands of miles from China, arriving onsite in January.
On March 21st after a blessing ceremony held by Buddhist monks and supporters of the meditation center, the statue was crane lifted into place where it will stay for many years, facing out over the pond towards the Meditation Center.
